Chinese Studies and Researches Conference was held with broad participation of relevant expert academicians in the field in Mustafapaşa hosted by our university.
Not only did the conference include dense discussions and presentations organized by lecturers Dr. Tuğrul Ongun and Dr. Bural Sakal from Cappadocia University in the department of International Relations, but Tourism professional Cankut Bagana, who is the owner of OnurAir representing the private sector, who also made a presentation on the aviation connections between China and Turkey.
Rector of our university, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ali Karasar, making the opening speech of the conference said: “Our aim is to take inventory of academic Chinese studies in Turkey and identify the over and short. We would like to comprehend how to support MA and PhD studies and how to assert a national synergy”. Totally 21 communiques- which give information about history, culture, language, politics, economy, scientific relations, international organizations, human rights and security regarding the Chinese studies in our country- were presented in the four sessions moderated by Prof. Dr. Ali Merthan Dündar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aşkın İnci Sökmen Alaca, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuran Savaşkan Akdoğan and Prof. Dr. Seriye Sezen.
The conference was finalized following the ending of communiques with the closure speech of the last session moderator, Prof. Dr. Seriye Sezen from Ankara University.
